It is known that Ruth Udell was alive in 1696 at the death of Thomas.
Ruth is said to be the daughter of (Sir?) Philip Udell/Udall/Udale/Udoll of Huntington Long Island (ref NY Historical Manuscript Minutes of Mayors Court of NY 1674-5, 1983 Gen Pub Co.) but "Odells" were neighbors of Stathems at Fordham Manor. This makes Ruth a bit of a puzzle.
