   General Notes:

Maskell Ewing, was elected Clerk of the Assembly before he was twenty-one, and moved to Trenton for the greater convenience of attending to the duties of the office, which he retained for twenty years. He was Recorder of Trenton for some time. In 1803, he moved to Philadelphia, and in 1805 to Delaware Co., Pennsylvania, representing that county in the State Senate of Pennsylvania for six years. He is buried in the old Greenwich graveyard of the Presbyterian Church. His grave is marked by a substantial elevated marble slab with full inscription. Both Maskell and Jane were said to be remarkable for their piety and were earnest workers in the Presbyterian Church. 39,43
