Information on descendants from Beulah Livingood, P.O. 351, Postville, IA 52162-0351. Additional informa tion from THE RALSTON FAMILY TREE by Doris Wedo, Waukon IA. PERRY COUNTY INDIANA MARRIAGES 1814-1852.

Living with Greenbury Jackson and Abigail Ewing Livingood in the 1850 census is Lafayette Ewing b. 1830, age 20 who was a plasterer; this is possibly Abigail's younger brother. He probably made his home with them since he was unmarried and both his parents were deceased.

In family records from Beulah Livingood is included a description of Greenbury Livingood, as remembered by his grandson Willard Livingood: Greenbury weighed about 120 to 125 pounds, no beard, had gray hair, was big boned but thin. Abigail was taller than her husband, Greenbury; she was thin and had gray hair. She was called "Tab" by relatives and friends.

At the time of James V. Ewing's death, Greenbury Livingood and his son Lafayette E. Livingood were sureties for James Ewing's estate settlement. Lafayette E. Livingood served as administrator of Elizabeth French Ewing's estate. This further shows the close relationship between these two families.

   Marriage Information:

Greenbury married Abigail Blossom EWING, daughter of George EWING Jr. and Hannah BOYLES, on 13 Feb 1842 in Perry Co., Indiana. (Abigail Blossom EWING was born on 30 Dec 1822 in Perry Co., Indiana 4, died on 16 Feb 1906 in Myron, Allamakee, IA and was buried in 1906 in Smith Cem., Allamakee, IA.)
