General Notes:
At this point not much is known about Hannah; she is in the 1830 and 1840 Perry Co. census records with her husband but only heads of households were listed by name. She died a year before her husband did. DAR applications number 112009 and 373965 list her as the wife of George Ewing, Jr. and give her dates of birth, marriage and death.
The HISTORY OF ATHENS COUNTY OHIO by Charles M. Walker, p. 373-374 lists Hannah as the wife of George Ewing, Jr and daughter of David Boyles.
Hannah is buried in Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton, IN next to her husband George Ewing, Jr.
It is believed that the children listed below are the children of George and Hannah Ewing. At this time only Nathaniel, Rachel Indiana and Lafayette have been definitely proven to be of this family. DAR applications for descendants of Anna Maskell Ewing Vaughn indicate that Anna is of this family, but they do not provide proof. Information coming from many sources would seem to indicate those listed are all of this family, but it has not been proven that this is a correct . Only nine of the eleven children said to belong to this family are known at present.
Marriage Information:
Hannah married George EWING Jr., son of George EWING Sr. and Rachel HARRIS, on 19 Aug 1809 in Ames Township, Athens Co., Ohio 7,11.
