On Perry Co. IN 1850 census p. 381, #529 in parents' household; age 1 0 so he would have been b. 1840. Since his father was on the 1840 Perry Co . IN census it is assumed William was born there. In Lafayette Ewing 's household in the Perry Co. IN 1860 census there is a William age 2 2 who was a mason; it's possible that William was living in his uncl e Lafayette's household.
