General Notes:
Thomas, the second son of Thomas and Mary, was a blacksmith by trade and an elder in the Presbyterian Church. In the year 1767, he and his sons built a house still standing (as of 1928) in Greenwich. Every nail in the house was wrought on his anvil. His son, George, inherited the house and occupied it until 1785.
Thomas was married three times, to Phebe Sayre, Rachel Dixon, and Sarah Vickars. Phebe's two children died in infancy. Rachel also had two children. Of the children of Thomas and Sarah Vickars, five died in infancy.

2. Residence; Greenwich, Cumberland Co., New Jersey. 32 He built a house still standing at Greenwich on Bacon's neck road in 1766. The house was sold by George Ewing when he moved to Marietta. It was in the possession of family members for many years.
